Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Mail Clerk. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage incoming and outgoing mail efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Essential Job Functions:
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages to the appropriate departments or individuals
- Prepare outgoing mail for delivery, including packaging, labeling, and arranging for pickup or postage
- Operate postage meter machine and other mail processing equipment
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail, including tracking deliveries and shipments
- Assist with mailroom organization and inventory management
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal employees and external partners
- Assist with additional administrative tasks and projects as needed
- Travel between LIC and Brooklyn location as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Must be able to work onsite, this is not a remote role
Qualifications Needed:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a mailroom or clerical role required
- Must be a licensed notary or be willing to get licensed
- Familiarity with mail processing equipment such as postage meters, letter folding machines, and barcode scanners
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages when necessary
- Must be able to travel between LIC and Brooklyn
