The Customer/Care - Warranty Claim Specialist collaborates with the Manufactures and the Warranty Plan(s) Representatives to establish processes and procedures to centralize warranty claim processing for the organization. The Specialist is responsible for warranty recovery savings through leading and documenting the warranty claims management process, administering warranty claims to suppliers, and establishing and managing controls to ensure warranty data quality.

What you will do...
-
Exceed service standards and behavior with every customer and peers.

Perform all job functions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

Process warranty claims from beginning to resolution; seeking solutions that are mutually beneficial to Matter Brothers and the customer.

Seizes opportunities to help stores provide top-level customer service to consumers.

Corresponds with dealers via phone and email.

Works directly with the manufacturers to order parts or full replacements for customers who have filed claims with their warranty plan(s).

Answers phone and relays information to customers inquiring about service related issues, specifically with warranty claims.

Enters data given from Manufacturers into the claims websites to ensure credit is given to Matter Brothers

Works with Manufacturers to identify donation items when defective/damaged goods and then processes the donations through United Way.
Qualifications:
-
Develops, disseminates, and drives execution of warranty policies.

Prepares, completes and submits the required warranty claims, special policy claims and supporting documentation to the appropriate vendor in accordance with the vendor's published procedures.

Tracks all warranty claims through databases, spreadsheets or the asset management system .

Maintains a thorough knowledge of all vendor warranty and claims procedures.

Negotiates any areas of dispute with vendors.

Follows-up with vendors on past due claims and determines opportunities to accelerate payment.

Strong interpersonal/organization skills and ability to communicate effectively using the English language

Computer literacy required

Self-motivated and able to prioritize various tasks and adapt to unexpected situations simultaneously
Experience:
-
Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
-
Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

Prior experience working in furniture retail and use of STORIS a plus!
