Contract Attorney
Pay range: Salary: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Job Description:
The Contract Attorney shall have 1-2 years of experience working as a contract/transactional attorney in a law firm setting.
The contract attorney shall be principally tasked with reviewing and revising contracts presented to the legal department for review and approval at the facility/subsidiary level. The Contract Attorney may also be tasked with revising existing contracts drafted through the legal department or drafting new ones.
The Contract Attorney shall occasionally be involved in negotiations, drafting, reviewing, and managing contractual agreements between parties, including Facility vendors.
Contract Attorney shall assist with other tasks as needed, which can include:
- Reviewing contract terms, conditions, and stipulations to ensure they comply with federal regulations
- Reviewing and revision contracts to identify potential risks or issues and taking action to mitigate risk
- Reviewing proposals for new contracts to ensure that they meet company standards for content and format
- Monitoring case laws and new rules and regulations that could affect a company’s ability to perform its obligations under a contract
- Preparing contract spreadsheets to assist with tracking the same
Education:
The Contract Attorney shall be a graduate of an accredited law school and have been ranked in the top one-half of the class.
Training & Experience:
The Contract Attorney will have at least 2 years of experience working within a law firm setting and be responsible for handling transactional legal work and contracts. Over time, he/she will receive additional training to expand the role as required and needed.
