Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager of Operations to join our team at Homewood Suites in Rogers, Arkansas. The Assistant Manager of Operations will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel, overseeing various departments and implementing strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in the daily operational management of the hotel, ensuring adherence to brand standards, policies, and procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate departmental activities, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage, while ensuring compliance with operational protocols.
- Conduct staff training and development initiatives to uphold exceptional service standards and ensure adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
- Monitor financial performance metrics such as revenue, expenses, and occupancy rates, and implement strategies to optimize profitability while maintaining compliance with financial guidelines.
- Oversee reservation processes and check-in/check-out procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with operational standards.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of guests while adhering to brand standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing, to develop and execute strategies aimed at revenue growth and increased occupancy while adhering to brand guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards, taking corrective actions as necessary.
Assist in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field required.
- Previous experience in hotel operations management or related hospitality management role preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with staff at all levels.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and hotel management software.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, industry trends, and best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
