Job Title: Customer Support Specialist
Reports to: Director of Pre-Legal Operations
Location: 235 Peachtree Street NE, Suite 1900, Atlanta, Georgia 30303
FLSA: Non-exempt
Schedule: Full-time on-site (8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
Job Summary:
The Burke Moore Group is a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our existing and growing team as a Customer Support Specialist. As a Customer Support Specialist, you will assist with the collection of defaulted consumer and commercial accounts while providing exceptional service to our customers. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Prior experience in the debt-collection industry is valued but not strictly necessary.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be able to:
· Communicate with customers via phone and email to address their inquiries and provide assistance
· Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and professionalism in all customer interactions
· Greet visitors to the front door of the office
· Acts as the first point of contact between BMLG and external parties
· Answer and transfer phone calls to various employees
· Update mailing addresses from mail returns and issue second demands
· Draft settled and paid in full letters
· Process collections payments
· Reports on collections operations and customer account updates
· Tackle skip tracing with regards to collections calls
· This position will have a potential path to becoming a collector
Expectations:
· Demonstrates proficiency in relevant software including Microsoft Suite
· Previous experience in customer service or a related field is preferred
· Professional attitude and experience
· Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
· Solid verbal and written communication skills as will be on the phone
· Proven work experience as a receptionist or similar customer facing role
· High school degree
