Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain resident, employee, and community information in strict confidence (with Central Office team, community management or other employees as necessary).
- Perform duties within General Ledger accounting, including but not limited to: Bank statement reconciliations for multiple entities, Preparing journal entries, Financial statement analysis, Assisting with annual budgeting, Assisting with the month-end closing process, conducting research and making correction journal entries for account discrepancies, prepares closing journal entries, posts accrual entries, and prepares financial statements, Reconciliation and processing of month end credit card statements, Reconciliation and processing of inter-company accounts
- Perform Accounts Payable duties, including but not limited to: Managing the AP process using Yardi Payscan, Completing credit card and inter-company reconciliations, Assisting with weekly check runs, Managing Vendor Detail, Managing the 1099-year-end process, Managing workflows in Yardi’s Payscan software, Participating in process improvements
- Assist with annual insurance renewals for multiple entities
- Meet deadlines and prioritize tasks; work efficiently with minimal supervision; detailed oriented.
- Perform general office duties as needed, including but not limited to: Handling mail, Processing shipments, Electronically filing information, Coordinating reservations.
- Assist in other various projects as needed.
- Experience with Accrual-Basis Accounting (required).
- Experience with journal entries (required).
- Have 2 or more years accounting experience.
- Demonstrate high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrates effective communication and problem solving skills.
- Maintain any certifications as required by state or provincial regulations.
