Role:
Responsible for assisting with the preparation, processing and documentation of commercial loans.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Takes loan applications from members and assist in the preparation of loan documents. Review loan documents for errors and compliance issues. Assemble loan packages and perform loan closings as needed. Verify insurance policies on collateral. Remit Deeds, UCCs and titles for recording. Processes payments for loan closings to third parties as needed. Ensures that closed loan packages are assembled and stored properly.
- Assist members and HFCU staff by answering questions, researching transactions, and providing information on business financial services topics.
- Prepare reports as assigned.
- Assemble periodic review packets by collecting, organizing, and storing documents properly. Update property tax and insurance information.
- Process loan payments not processed through teller operations and generate related statements and notices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience.
- Education: A high school education or GED.
- Interpersonal Skills: Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
