Sqooasha is looking for a creative Curriculum Specialist to join our growing tutoring team. Sqooasha has been providing educational services to students since 2017, including students with various disabilities. The students we work with range from kindergarten students up to college level students.
Position Summary:
The Curriculum Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining K-12 curriculum for Mathematics and English Language Arts (ELA), developing lesson plans, training tutors to use the developed lesson plans, monitoring the efficacy of the tutoring, training tutors on how to improve their tutoring skills, selecting and evaluating assessment tools for K-12 students on subjects such as Mathematics and ELA. Curriculum Specialist will also assist in the selection of professional development courses for tutors and oversee the creation of digital learning resources for students.
The Curriculum Specialist will also be responsible for working with tutors to develop progress reports for students, keeping all stakeholders appraised of the progress of students, and supporting the Sqooasha management team to create a healthy learning environment for tutors and students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in K-12 curriculum development.
- Three (3) years minimum experience as an educator.
- Experience with Arizona Math/ELA Standards and Common Core Standards.
- Valid teaching certification preferred.

- Comfortable working with technological platforms.
- Can facilitate assessments to determine the learning level of the students.
- Experience in K-12 instructional best practices.
- Willing to undergo a reference check, background check and obtain an Arizona fingerprint clearance card.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain current K-12 curricula for Math and ELA.
- Design and develop instructional content and assessments for K-12 students.
- Construct and outline lessons and assessments aligned with state and national standards.
- Develop lesson plans and establish a standardized individualized lesson plan process and procedure for all tutors.
- Perform ongoing review of student assessment results and ensure stakeholders are informed of students' progress.
- Develop digital learning resources based on state standards for students' use.
- Develop relationships with key K-12 decision makers within the market segment.
- Provide client feedback to product development team/tutors to improve tutoring service.
- Respond to the needs of the stakeholders as needed.
- Provide professional development course recommendations for tutors.
- Work directly with leadership to promote a healthy learning environment for students.
- Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Pay: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour
