AUTO BODY TECHNICIAN
We are a highly reputable family owned, full- service auto body shop, that has been in business for over 50 years and is known for being an icon in the area, as well as the industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to access and repair vehicle damage.

As a Collision Auto Body Technician, you’ll perform vehicle repairs as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Your attention to detail will make you an asset to our team as you ensure repairs are completed on time and deliver top-notch work to delight our customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Certification in body repair preferred.
- Ability to work in a high-volume shop environment
- Ability to manage time and workflow of cars
- Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
- I-CAR welding certified preferred.
- Positive, can-do attitude with the desire to work in a team setting.
- Skilled Auto Body Technician with great attention to detail and quality
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Thoroughly examine assigned vehicles for damage at impact area(s)
- Disassemble/Detrim and do secondary examinations
- Go over repairs & parts with Estimators at vehicle to help ensure accurate estimates
- Confirm all parts are on estimate and repair times are accurate.
- Can properly correct & fill depressions & ensure quality repairs.
- Remove, straighten, replace and/or repair damaged parts both sheet metal & plastic.
- File, grind, sand to ensure smooth and paintable surfaces.
- Safely use frame machine to pull both sheet metal and frames/frame rails to straighten and/or center panels to restore to previous specifications.
- Use special equipment to perform job duties and make proper repairs to vehicles.
- Communicate with Estimators, Parts Coordinator and Shop Manager to be sure all estimates are accurate, correct parts are put on car, & full/proper repairs are made.
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Understand and follow federal state & local regulations, such as hazardous waste.
- Follow safety procedures with PPE, personal equipment, and company equipment.
