Skillforce Inc. is hiring for a HVAC Service Technicians and Installers in In the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years experience in residential and/or commercial. Pay is $28 - $34/hour based on skillset and experience.
We have multiple openings for long-term, full time HVAC service and installer work.
HVAC Service Technician and Installer Job Specifications:

Troubleshoot and service all products and equipment related to HVAC systems (forced air, boilers, split systems, package units, hydronic, air make up, exhaust systems, etc.)

Installation and set up of HVAC systems

Clean and repair HVAC commercial systems products and equipment

Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units

Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications

Use construction equipment, hand and power tools as needed

Work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. as required

Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires

Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary

Maintains vehicles by keeping records of service manuals, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance service

Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files

Keeps all current manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair

Provides technical support to customers

Performs other duties as assigned

Ability to work in environments of varying temperatures: indoors and outdoors, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, etc.

Ability to perform work in areas of exposure to moderate noise, fumes, airborne particulates, and dust

Ability to work in confined spaces or from heights
HVAC Service Technician and Installer Job Requirements:

3+ years HVAC experience

Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills

Knowledge of basic electricity, electrical and control systems

Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history)

Must adhere to all company policy and procedures

Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned, to include working varying schedules that may require extended hours (evenings, weekends and holidays) and require client-specific safety standards
