Construction Bookkeeper
Don Kruse Electric Inc is a small, privately owned construction company based in Omak, WA specializing in residential and commercial Electrical, HVAC, and Water System installations. We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper with great organizational and time management skills. This position includes accounts receivable and payable, invoicing, and payroll responsibilities along with various other administrative duties.
Salary: DOE after 90-day probationary period eligible for Full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, IRA as well as Holiday and PTO)
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll in QuickBooks
- Process Accounts Payable and Receivable in QuickBooks
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements, deposits, payroll, federal and state tax payments
- Preparation of monthly Payment Applications and or invoices (using industry standard and invoice templates)
- Manage processes for projects with special requirements such as certified payroll, special reporting, etc.
- Respond to client and internal staff inquiries regarding billing, invoices, expense reports and other financial matters
- Request and maintain certificates of insurance for DKE and subcontractors
- Coordinate and collect required waivers of lien from subcontractors and vendors
- Maintain various interoffice logs including current projects, job references, accounting work in progress, and others
- Provide administrative support for Management Team
- Provide backup for incoming phone calls, reception and other office duties
- Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks: 2+ years
- Construction Administration: 2+ Years
- Experience in small office environment: 2+ years
- Experience in services related to payroll such as writing checks, submitting payroll taxes, reporting certified payroll
- Ability to interpret and manage various project accounting data and documents
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Adobe knowledge
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
- Great attention to detail with an ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and adjust to changing situations
- Must have excellent interpersonal and customer services skills, and maintain a positive attitude while dealing professionally with co-workers and external customers – a true team player
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
