Armenian Sisters Academy seeks an experienced Third Grade Elementary Teacher beginning September 2024 school year.
JOB SUMMARY: Position duties consist of teaching 3rd grade. The instructor will oversee the progress of all students, provide for their individual needs, and coordinate activities to create a stimulating and caring classroom environment.
The successful candidate will be an educator who is highly skilled and experienced in a broad range of Elementary Education instruction.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversee the progress of all students in your groups, provide for their individual needs, and coordinate activities to create a stimulating and caring classroom environment.
· Planning, preparing, and delivering lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
· Instruct, monitor, and evaluate students using learning materials and equipment.
· Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
· Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
· Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures, following the school student handbook.
· Maintain discipline by the rules and disciplinary protocols of the school.
· Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies.
· Maintain accurate and complete records of student’s progress and development.
· Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
· Effectively prepare and adapt the classroom for varied classroom activities.
· Assign and evaluate classwork, homework, tests, and assignments.
· Maintain rapport and communication with parents, administration, and staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA or BS in Elementary Education or a related field
- PA Level 1 Teaching Certification (required)
- 1-year teaching experience preferred
