Role Description
We are seeking skilled and experienced HVAC Mechanical Foreman to join our team. As a Foreman with Derryberry's Mechanical, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing mechanical construction projects from start to finish. Your role will involve supervising and coordinating the work of the mechanical crew and sub contractors, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanical construction crew and sub contractors
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the contracted mechanical scope on the construction project
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other construction documents
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Collaborate with project managers, field superintendents, general contractors, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other trades.
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure work is being performed correctly
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction
- Maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and equipment used
- Fill out daily reports and job safety analysis forms
- Attend company meetings and trainings as required
- Implement and enforce safety protocols on the job site
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HVAC Mechanical Foreman or similar supervisor role in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and other construction documents
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore.
- Excellent supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and clients
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Knowledge of budgeting and cost control principles
- Experience in quality control procedures
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
