Job Summary:
The Customer Support team members play a critical role as the front line of our Service organization. This role is primarily responsible for assisting our agents and customers with inquiries on their policies and/or quotes, processing endorsements and any billing inquiries. This position works closely with all aspects of the organization including underwriting, claims, marketing, and accounting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with all inquiries/needs/requests for service in a warm and friendly manner, written and verbally
- Inputs all necessary policyholder and/or loss information into system, including Workflows, Endorsements and First Notice of Loss.
- Timely dispatches new claims to the appropriate unit on a rotational basis, as needed/required.
- Processes incoming and outgoing documentation and correspondence including Workflows, USPS mail, faxes, and emails.
- Follows company policies and procedures for business activities and equipment.
- Learns and understands company insurance products and processes/procedures.
- Gathers and analyzes information skillfully to develop alternative solutions.
- Accurately answers inquiries from agents, policyholders and other entities related to billing, payments, and policy forms, via various communication channels
- Follows company policies and procedures for business activities and business equipment.
- Learns and understands company insurance products and process/procedures.
- Identifies, resolves and/or escalates problems in a timely manner as required.
- Assists in filing, data entry, paying invoices and archiving documents for the Claims Team.
- Assists with mailroom and post office duties.
- Available to work outside of normal business hours for catastrophic events as it pertains to the business.

Qualifications (Education/Experience):
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in policy service/customer service.
- Minimum one year of administration experience.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Skills:
Required
- Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suites
- Administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to obtain, organize and explain information.
- Ability to interpret basic insurance coverage, procedures, and policies.
Preferred
- Active 4-40, 20-44 or 2-20 license.
- Florida P&C insurance knowledge.
- Spanish language skills/bilingual capability a plus
