Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders and process payments using a cash register
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Monitor and ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns
- Upsell and promote drink specials or menu items
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for customers
- Prepare garnishes, such as fruit slices or cocktail umbrellas, for drinks
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including stocking inventory and cleaning bar equipment
Skills:
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Proficient in bartending techniques, including mixing cocktails, pouring drinks, and using bar tools
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
- Basic math skills for accurately processing payments and making change
- Experience handling cash transactions and operating a cash register
- Sales skills to upsell menu items and promote specials or events
- Hospitality skills to engage with customers and ensure their satisfaction
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with kitchen staff for efficient service
- Knowledge of banquet operations for handling large events or parties
