Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate injection molding machines according to production specifications
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with molds, machines, and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
- Work with injection molding machines, molds and peripheral equipment • Install and maintain 5s standards
- Monitor process and product quality while tooling runs.
- Maintain and improve Quality.
- Work with Process Engineering to reduce downtime and improve process efficiency.
- Participate in improving tool changeover times.
- Identify problems due to tooling problems and report them to Supervisor. • Participate in maintaining tooling and equipment through programs.
- Record downtime and scrap.
- Able to addresses minor processing issues.
- Work flexibility in order to meet customer demands and needs.
- Work flexibility in order to meet customer requirements.
- Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company.
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Forvia Code of Ethics and Code of Management.
- Start-ups of machines and verifying visual quality after starting.
- Performing level 1&2 PM’s on machines and equipment.
- Performing HSE safety checks.
- Performing mold changes in a timely manner and under target
- 5s of machines and common areas.
- Assisting with material loading or when needed.
- Ability to pass PT test with relevant knowledge and experience to move from “Junior” to “Senior” level.
- When necessary, can be requiredto fill in as the material handler.
- Responsible for filling out SMED Board after tool changes.
- Responsible for classifying tickets on DMC.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Injection Mold Operator or in a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with press brake machines, plastics blow molding, and assembly processes
- Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely
- Forklift certification is a plus

Pay: $23.50 - $26.50 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week
