The Revenue Cycle Specialist's responsibilities include coordinating assigned patients' insurance qualification process and collection procedures; gathering data for financial assessments; liaising between patients, contract payors, and other health care providers relative to financial issues; performing receivables management, billing, and collections duties.
This candidate will be required to come into the office 5 days a week for the first 90 days of employment during the training period. After the training period has been completed, you will be allowed 3 remote days during the week, and 2 days in office.
Education & Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma required.
Previous Experience: Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business or finance preferred, or 1-2 years of equivalent work experience.
Knowledge/Training: Opportunity to learn all aspects of healthcare management.
Skills: Strong written & oral communication skills and ability to deal with both internal and external customers. This includes team members, patients, families, referral and community resources. Must be proficient in use of personal computers to include basic
office automation such as spread sheets and word processing software.
Computer Skills: Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop or laptop, including starting programs, using files, and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs.
Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
