Position Overview
The Home Adaptation division completes physical modifications to homes, both private and rental, to make the home environment safer and easier for individuals to function and navigate with greater independence. Typical areas that are modified include entry and exits, stairs, bathrooms and kitchens, and the ability to access common shared areas. Home Adaptations consist of installation, repair, maintenance, warranty work, permitting and inspections.
The Residential Construction and Accessibility Supervisor is responsible for the identification of home adaptations/modification strategies that will improve the safety of the home while enhancing the client’s health and mobility. The evaluator will work in tandem with Occupational Therapists to understand the physical and structural limitations of the client and home and create a scope of work to incorporate the necessary adaptations/modifications. The specialist produces a comprehensive report outlining the limitations, recommended adaptations with layouts and supporting photos, along with detailed construction notes that will formulate a request for proposal (RFP).
Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Work on a collaborative team including Occupational Therapists, subcontractors and health care workers
2. Develop detailed scopes of work with proper measurements, installation recommendations and requirements, photos, sketches, and work estimate in accordance with ADA requirements
3. Analyze alternate means and methods to determine the most economical modification that satisfies client’s medical needs.
4. Conducts on-site pre-construction meetings as necessary to verify scope, quality compliance, and technical issue problem-solving.
5. Prepare detailed conceptual budgets from pre-construction, concept design, schematic design, and design development documents as needed.
6. Reviews constructability issues with the Home Adaptation Team and Sr. Project Manager for accuracy and completeness
7. Supply comprehensive reports of work with supporting documentation needed to all interested parties.
8. Research permit and zoning ordinances, as needed.
9. Conduct Quality Control inspections on completed jobs for adherence to building codes and company standards, as needed.
10. Ongoing research and training on available recommended modification products and installation techniques.
11. Ability to work independently to create site and construction plans along with detailed proposals to meet strict timelines.
12. Ability to travel independently across the region including a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
13. Manage multiple, simultaneous projects ensuring strict adherence to project timelines.

Education/Qualifications
· 5+ years of construction experience in residential or general construction (Foreman, Site Supervisor, Project Manager)
· Hands on construction experience preferred with extensive computer knowledge
· Demonstrated skill in building/design and detailed written proposals
· Experience in accessibility modification and home adaptation
· Management or supervisory experience recommended but not required
· Ability to use basic office and construction related technology platforms
· Knowledge of estimating, plan reading and scoping projects
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Systems/Adobe Software
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
