The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for but not limited to efficiently maintaining our fleet and heavy equipment.
Responsibilities include:
- Preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet of diesel engine trucks and trailers.
- Repairs various heavy equipment upon malfunction or breakdown.
- Inspect, repair, maintain and test trucks at maintenance intervals.
- Maintain and repair brakes, braking systems, engines, and all related chassis components.
- Maintain vehicle and adjust equipment to new State or DOT standards.
Skills and qualifications:
- Preferred Experience in preventative maintenance
- Diagnostic skills
- Experience with engine maintenance; lube, oil, and filter
- Familiarity with spring and air suspension systems
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems
- Familiarity with air brake systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
