Job Description
Norplex Advanced Composites is a developer and manufacturer of advanced composite materials that are used in the transportation, industrial, renewable energy, and sporting goods markets. We are seeking full-time Manufacturing Operators to join the team in our Manhattan, MT facility.
This position is responsible for manufacturing fiberglass and carbon fiber prepreg as well as finished composite panels produced from the prepreg. We are seeking individuals who are excited to learn multiple processes including material receiving and handling, operation of a hot-melt coating line, prepreg plying and cutting, compression pressing and precision sawing.

II. Essential Functions
- Follow all safety procedures within the plant.
- Complete accurate paperwork and computer transactions in all areas.
- Operate equipment and scales to measure, weigh and mix chemical ingredients according to specifications.
- Control and operate the coating line, pressing, post-bake, and trimming equipment.
- Ply up, cut, inspect, weigh up, and layup prepreg material.
- Operate Forklift as needed.
- Unload/Load delivery trucks using forklift or other powered or manual equipment.
- Inspect, pack on pallets, in boxes or crates, and band orders.
- Maintain proper operation and cleanliness of designated work area.
III. Qualifications Required:
Minimum: High School diploma or GED
Preferred: Some college or Bachelor’s degree
IV. Compensation:
Manufacturing Operator positions will start at $22 per hour.
Shift premium of $2 per hour for second shift will apply when employees work those shifts.
All new employees will begin on first shift for initial training then transfer to first or second shift after initial training is complete.
