Job Summary:
The Materials Planner/Scheduler will direct materials planning and scheduling for operations. Using data analytics and decision-making skills, you will work through MRP to ensure machine and purchase orders meet requirements, supporting customer needs. Collaborating closely with the Operations team, you will ensure materials are available and schedules are robust to ship orders on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze master schedules and MRP requirements to set target dates for material receipt.
- Ensure materials are available before assembly begins.
- Utilize ERP systems to analyze stock, orders, future requirements, and production data.
- Level-load manufacturing using the master schedule.
- Make decisions on MO and PO releases for materials.
- Use data analytics to determine material stocking levels to support customer needs and business cash objectives.
- Collaborate with various departments to monitor material status, expedite flows, and manage material substitutions.
- Review overdue orders, identify causes of delays, and initiate corrective actions.
- Requisition materials and set delivery dates based on job priorities and material availability.
- Monitor project status and take actions to maintain on-time performance of the master production schedule.
- Track and address root causes for delivery misses/stock-outs.
- Review and update production plan progress and status.
- Coordinate workflow between departments.
- Work with Purchasing to improve quality, processes, and reduce shortages and delays.
- Partner with suppliers to manage delivery schedules.
- Support and coordinate with team members to execute daily MRP tasks.
- Handle paperwork and parts on the production floor as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
