Assistant or Associate Teacher for CB Head Start Classroom
WCCA seeks an Assistant/Associate Teacher for the Council Bluffs Head Start Program. Duties include assisting teacher in planning, volunteer recruitment, classroom activities, home visits, reporting, and other activities. Assistant/Associate Teachers are appropriate role models for children and parents through exhibiting good communication, problem solving and overall positive attitude.
Assistant/Associate Teachers must have the ability to work with children and families from various cultural, economic & social backgrounds. Prefer BA/BS or AA/AS Degree or Early Childhood Credential, will consider High School/GED. Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation and auto liability insurance are required.
40-hours per week, 38-weeks per year (school year) position will work with 3 - 5 year old children. IPERS and 403(B) retirement programs available for staff.
