Available Position: Project Manager
Position Overview: EW Howell is currently seeking a Project Manager to work in our Commercial Construction Division out of our Plainview NY office.
Qualification/Skill Requirements:
- Degree in, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or similar field, 10+ years’ experience/ knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management required.
- Ground up and Retail Fit out, Senior Living ground up, healthcare and/or laboratory, experience.
- Subcontractor Purchasing/Buyout, scope writing.
- Thorough understanding of construction contracts and risk mitigation plan on assigned projects.
- Proficient in Change Management, pricing, negotiation.
- Project submittal review and timely management to meet project schedule.
- RFI tracking and processing.
- Prepare and manage project schedules, Microsoft Project software proficient.
- Development of pay application schedule of values, pencil pay application processing, and timely pay application coordination with project accountant and owners.
- Highly proficient in project management software programs such as Procore, MS Project, Timberline.
- Project closeout.
- Experience driving project safety with project superintendent and safety director.
- Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize project team performance.
- Mentoring of direct reports, including assistant project managers, administrative assistants.
- Ability to meet critical project deadlines. Willingness to coordinate and work in a team environment.
- Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities vital; superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and in a team setting.
- The successful candidate will also have excellent written and oral communication skills and be competent with the Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
