Job Duties:
- Educate our new hires with provided official PCA & HHA curriculums in a classroom setting
- Oversee, demonstrate technique and advise our new hires in our hands-on clinical learning environment
- Help coach and provide knowledge refreshment to our caregiving staff as necessary
- May participate in supervisory visits to observe caregivers in the field and assess if they may need refresher training.
- Protects the home care agency by adhering to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Enhances service reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Must have experience in geriatric care, work well with seniors with a compassionate, patient and understanding manner, and demonstrate a desire to serve individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementias
- Must maintain a positive and professional attitude and project a calm demeanor
- Must be a flexible team player with the ability to work effectively with others in a team environment promoting a culture of teamwork across departments, cooperation, enthusiasm, customer service, and an atmosphere conducive to growth for all associates
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Bilingual welcome but not required
- Must be able to handle the physical requirements of the job including standing, sitting, bending, and moving
Skills and Qualifications Needed:
CNA License, HHA Certification, PCA Certification, Up-to-date first aid and CPR certification, Creating a Safe, Effective Environment, Health Promotion and Maintenance, Nursing Skills, Health Care Administration, Patient Services, Verbal Communication, Listening, Training , Dependability, Emotional Control, Medical Teamwork.
The must haves:
- Driver's license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance
- Proficiency in English
- A reliable cell phone and email
- Fully vaccinated against COVID and boosted if eligible
