Job Summary
- Parts Advisors Issue parts and accessories to mechanics from the parts counter.
- Utilize reference manuals, parts illustrations and computer programs to select the specific part needed to complete a vehicle repair.
- Retrieve parts from their appropriate shelves and dedicated locations within the parts dept.
- Provide delivery service of orders using parts truck.
- Acquire parts not currently in stock through other parts providers locally via phone or internet.
- Complete customer parts invoicing directly to repair order.
- Check parts into inventory, verify proper part numbers shipped and stock or distribute accordingly.
Qualifications and Skills
As a Ford and Lincoln Automotive Parts Advisor (Parts Counter Person), you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver. We have determined some factors that may enable your success as an Automotive Parts Advisor:
- Must have previous automotive parts counter, service advisor or mechanic experience
- Ford experience preferred, but not required
- Looking for a people-person with a friendly personality
- Must have computer proficiency.
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Must be detail oriented
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
