Night Auditor-Full-time
Job Summary:
Our hotel is a fixture in the Longwood Medical Area and we are seeking a full time Night Auditor to become part of our team. Previous night audit or hotel front desk experience is preferred but we'd consider training the right person who has a proven record of success in responsible positions.
The Night Auditor will be responsible for various tasks and duties throughout the entire Front Office Department. PBX, Reservations, Guest Relations. All procedures performed by Night Audit staff are in preparation for the completion of The Inn’s Daily Business Summary. Essentially all transactions are documented in this report and then once again audited the next day.
Job Tasks:
- Responsible for reconciling cashier reports
- Verify all charges from all departments every day
- Run reports from Hotel Information System (PMS) and close out each day
- Run reports from Posi Touch system for Restaurant
- Fill-out worksheets for restaurant deposit
- File registration cards (Reg Cards) by month/date during the evening shift
- Verify restaurant documents for revenue
- Verify PMS Reports for revenue
- Complete projects assigned from the accounting office
- Incident reports need to be completed for all out of ordinary occurrences
- Connect all calls to offices or guest rooms, taking messages when necessary
- Receive and prepare all wake-up call requests form guests
- Register guests, assign rooms and accommodate special requests
- Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary
- Full understanding of the PMS System and how to enter: reservations, changes, and cancellations
- Handle guest check-in/check-outs efficiently and in a friendly and professional manner
- Know cash handling procedures and how to post all charges to guest, master, and city ledger accounts
- After 11 PM assist guests with amenities, cots, minor maintenance issues and perform troubleshooting if the PMS is down
- Handle all future reservations, matching the needs of the guest with those of the Hotel
Qualifications:
- Good customer service skills, an aptitude for numbers, and the ability to work overnight.
- Able to build rapport with guests
- Organized and can multitask
- Can handle busy periods and the occasional difficult guest situation without getting flustered
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
