Job description
We are looking for a talented and competitive Inside Sales Representative that thrives in a team environment with heavy customer interaction. This role is integral to achieving customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making and answering dozens of calls per day, working with distribution partners, generating demand, and expanding prospects. Once familiar with the product line, occasional overnight travel to national trade shows is possible.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service – Make calls and answer calls, understand and fulfill customer needs and requirements.
- Coordinate support between Outside Sales Reps, Independent Sales Reps, and Distributors as needed.
- Provide technical support for contractors, homeowners, and installers.
- Process incoming requests for new Distributors.
- Perform live demonstrations of Lifetime Tool building products.
- Set up Trade Show Booths, provide product demonstrations, and perform lead follow up.
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, emails, and social media lead follow up.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all roofing components sold.
- Close sales and upsell clients where possible.
- Maintain and expand a database of prospects within assigned territory.
- Data mine specific sources for structured lead generation. Research trade journals, web sites, and other sources where applicable.
- Update CRM regularly for assigned territory. Assist Outside Sales with CRM review and updating.
Skills
- Be able to communicate in a polite and professional manner.
- Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day.
- Previous data mining experience a plus.
- Previous experience in the building products industry is preferred. Lacking this experience, the candidate must be able to grasp the concepts and product knowledge associated with the roofing industry.
- Preferred experience working with SalesNow.com or other CRM software, but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams required.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
