Basic Function/Overview: Dishwashers and bussers provide an outstanding experience for our guests by ensuring a clean and present dining experience from cleaning tables and setting tables to providing a sanitary and safe environment in our kitchens. They are responsible for cleaning and maintaining the dining room, equipment, dishes, pots, floors, and other kitchen surfaces as required.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Assist in setting and clearing tables

Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the dining room.

Provide support to wait staff and servers by acting as a runner during meal service.

Contribute to customer service by filling water glasses at the table, supplying new utensils as requested, and answering customer questions

Operate and unload dishwashing machines.

Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into the dishwashing machine.
-
Clean, sanitize, and maintain the dishwashing machine.
-
Clean items by hand.
-
Monitor dishwashing equipment and inventory for performance and supplies.
-
Consult Back of House Kitchen Manager on the performance of machines and inventory.

Empty trash containers regularly.

Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as needed.

Perform additional cleaning duties as requested.

Clean food prep stations and equipment.

Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.

Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

A worker’s permit may be applicable.
-
Restaurant and customer service experience is preferred.
Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand continuously throughout an 8-hour shift.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Comfortable bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, and moving quickly.
