The department seeks to hire a smart, experienced, hardworking, and dependable Human Resource Administrator.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research and analyze Human Resource data, Personnel system's reporting and/or established resources to provide accurate guidance and/or technical assistance to resolve complex personnel and payroll issues including, but not limited to processing personnel actions, applicant processes, insurance, retirement, the Family Medical Leave Act, sick leave sharing, payroll taxes and time errors.
- Utilize knowledge of federal, state laws and Department policies and procedures to provide accurate interpretation to executive leadership, managers and employees as it pertains to personnel and payroll for use in managing employees and/or policy making.
- Construct, draft and disseminate process documents, various email communication to employees and management regarding Human Resource policy guidance and/or procedures expectations and/or updates.
- Serve as liaison with Teacher’s Retirement Systems and Kentucky Public Pensions Authority systems to ensure accuracy and validity of retirement contributions, months of service and leave accruals.
- Reconcile semi-monthly payroll summaries and complete year end Teacher's Retirement Systems report.
- Conduct onboarding sessions to ensure successful personnel and payroll processing via accurate entry of employee data and wage types and timely processing of employee actions.
- Conduct onboarding and exit interviews ensuring timely and accurate leave payouts or deferrals and/or retirement certifications.
- Research and prepare payroll, benefits, taxes and/or leave information to be used for disciplinary investigations, Board Orders and/or open records or legal use.
- Perform and complete special assignments as requested.
- Prepare and research education and or employment history for verification of rank and/or cell changes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
