15-25 hours a week.
Flexibility to work weekends and at both locations. (Roswell and Alpharetta GA.)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Assists in planning and executing sales promotions and maintaining a positive community image.
- Ensure that the store has sufficient products, merchandise, and supplies needed to manage an efficient store.
- Perform opening and closing duties.
- Delegate duties, as necessary, to shift supervisors and baristas.
- Ensures that the store, backroom, and equipment are maintained safely and cleanly.
- Maintain the inventory and stock of all paper & food products between café and storage locations. This includes grocery shopping.
- Create sales volume growth and create a positive customer experience.
- Assist with recruiting efforts by conducting interviews and providing feedback to the Program Director.
- Assists in developing a seasonal schedule and considers any fluctuations in sales due to holidays or local events.
- Assist in maintaining proper loss prevention standards, and reviewing cash handling procedures, deposits, and safe procedures.
- Respond to all emergencies while on shift by directing or performing steps necessary to ensure medical treatment and escape routes are available.
- Inform the store manager of any operational inconsistencies, employee incidents, accidents, potential safety hazards, or any unusual or pertinent events.
- Report employee accidents and potential safety hazards to the store manager; complete the appropriate paperwork and recommend a proper course of action.
- Ensure that all Brewistas provide customers with efficient friendly, superior service consistently.
- Consistently monitor, coach, and encourage Brewistas to meet Brewable's service standards.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards consistently throughout the store in the areas of store appearance, merchandise, and equipment.
- Respond proactively to prevent and resolve customer service situations.
- Ensure that all team members are informed on products and services by understanding our various types of coffee, tea, and food products.
- Consistently maintain the highest quality product standards.
- Follow all Brewable operations procedures, including completion of appropriate checklists.
- Prepare all drinks and ensure that all Brewistas prepare drinks according to Brewable drink recipe standard operating procedures.
- Tastes drink and food products on a per-shift basis for quality assurance.
- Counsel Brewistas, facilitate team member training efforts and conduct regular performance reviews, as necessary.
- Assist in the training of new employees.
- Motivate staff to maintain quality and consistent products.
- Notify the Program Director of any performance-related issues with Brewable staff.
PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Minimum one-year retail experience, preferably with a specialty coffee store, preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities strongly preferred.
- Assistant management in a specialty store or food establishment is preferred.
- Register and cash handling experience.
- Must be able to work overtime, including weekends, evenings, and special events as needed.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
- Must have effective problem-solving/decision-making abilities.
- Must be patient, understanding, and tolerant of different personalities and behaviors.
- Excellent verbal English communication and customer service skills with the ability to communicate and interact with people of all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and is open to change.
- Ability to handle confidential information sensitively.
- Ability to adapt to new situations quickly.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position will require frequent standing and use of hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and frequently bend and twist from the waist.
- Frequently required to use hand and finger motions, handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must adjust vision to both day and night lighting and focus on distant and close-range projects.
- Regularly required to handle food, and hot beverages, and work with sharp objects.
- Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
