Job Summary:
Town and Country is seeking a skilled and reliable Appliance Service Technician to respond to our customer calls for household appliance repair and installation needs. You must be knowledgeable about the repair of residential appliances, which includes, dishwashers, microwaves refrigerators, room air conditioners, vent hoods, washing machines, along with gas and electric dryers, ranges, and wall ovens. When repair is not feasible, you need to be able to discuss and recommend replacement appliances in coordination with our sales team. In this job, you will be responsible for representing our brand, repairing appliances, documenting all repairs thoroughly, handling monies received and providing excellent customer service. We provide product specific tools and a service vehicle for our service technicians.

Unless you come to us with industry specific knowledge and are currently or previously worked in this field you will be required to complete our training program as follows:
This includes:
- A several month period in which you will begin both hands-on and online training on all related. (Tailored to the selected candidate)
- You will begin your training working through the training courses.
- You will use online coursework (on company provided computers) in the office to take these courses.
- You will be able to work on these appliances in the shop and on the road in customers homes paired with a company technician.
- Succeeding in learning and being comfortable with dryer repairs will allow you to continue to add different types of machines to your coursework of study.
- Successful completion of all training modules and demonstrated proficiency in the concepts provided will create opportunity for further off-site technical training.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and repair various household appliances, such as room air conditioners, refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, washing machines and gas and electric ranges, ovens, and dryers.
- Respond to customer calls with an urgent manner and managing scheduled call times.
- Solve customer complaint by evaluating and troubleshoot problems by listening to customer concerns, diagnosing product, answering customer concerns, review repair options, estimates, and timeframes to customers, considering any product warranties they have and understanding those warranties.
- Recommend replacement when necessary.
- Order repair parts as needed.
- Complete billing and invoicing paperwork.
- Handle monies or credit card information received.
- Clean up work area thoroughly upon completion of repairs.
- Stay up to date on the latest appliance technology and parts.
- Responsible for truck inventory and maintaining inventory levels in the office stock room.
- Maintain provided tools and vehicle appearance.
- Other duties as assigned including working in other areas of the business when called upon. For example: Appliance delivery, warehouse maintenance (e.g. being a team player and pitching in when needs arise with special projects)
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must pass a background screening process which will include: (criminal, driving, and drug screening). This is required by vendors (Whirlpool, Speed Queen, etc) to perform in-home service. If your driving record is less than perfect, please do apply.

- Relevant work experience in similar trades involving diagnosis and repair.

Work Schedule:
- Generally, this is a 5 day per week full time position. Your position will schedule work (with the assistance of our administrative staff) with customers and be managed by you.
- Be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate current needs.
- Additional hours may be required and paid accordingly as per the U.S Department of Labor.
- Will not include Weekends, Evenings or Holiday’s unless mutual agreement is found, only in limited circumstances.
