The QA Lab Technician is responsible for:
- Daily product audits and sample testing

Monitoring finished product to ensure adherence to established standards for functional properties, aesthetics, and packaging.
- Performing tests on Assorted tapes and films

Includes preparing samples, adjusting test equipment, setting up test methods in computer-based systems, etc.
- Attention to quality detail is important.

Manual dexterity is required as sample preparation requires precision on a small scale.
- Entering test results and comments in a database or Excel spreadsheet

Reviewing test results with QA, management and/or R&D staff

To include writing test results summaries and reports.
- Daily production and Certificate of Analysis (COA) data entry.

Transferred from hard copy reports to a database or Excel spreadsheet.

May require filing the hard copies.

Establish and maintain a standard work/cadence calendar.

To include managing the testing calendar.
-
Update and maintain the Lab Tier 1 R&R board.

Writing work instructions for lab tasks and procedures.
- May assist with manufacturing floor work instructions.
- Maintain lab 5-S (housekeeping) requirements.

Maintain Lab supply stock.
- Stocking Departmental forms.

Assist with training new and existing employees on quality requirements and testing.

Maintain Length counter verifications, as assigned by manufacturing area.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager or QA Leader
The QA Lab Assistant must be able to:

Lift 50 lbs.

Read a ruler.
-
Work with a computer and have experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Work with a minimum of supervision.

Have a basic mechanical aptitude (some work with basic tools is required)
Qualifications:
-
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Experience: minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Or combination of education and relevant work experience.

Effective oral and written communication skills.
-
High level of interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others.
- Experience using MS Office Suite.
