GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Instrumentation and Controls Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, fabrication, integration, and installation of various electrical and process control instrumentation equipment in a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Troubleshoot electrical issues on machines
- Safely be able to LOTO when working on machines
- Diagnose electrical problems and determine how to correctly repair issues as necessary
- Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production time
- Perform scheduled electrical repairs of production equipment during down time
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on equipment, and plant facility
- Handle all electrical wiring, repair, modifications and upgrades as needed in the plant
- Ensure electrical dangers are minimized for employees
- Monitor plant equipment and facilities in order to discover and prevent potential problems
- Repair and rebuild drive motors as needed
- Familiar with all electrical equipment used in plant
- May be required to work weekends and holidays based upon business needs.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and protocols.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-3 years of instrumentation technician experience
- ISO experience preferred
- Bachelors degree preferred
