Total-Western, Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing complex process systems in a variety of industrial settings. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams. Process Design and Optimization:
- Develop and optimize process designs to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.
- Conduct process simulations and feasibility studies to support project planning and decision-making.
- Design and implement innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Project Management:
- Lead and manage process engineering projects from concept through completion.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams to resolve process-related issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions to address process failures and improve performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Safety and Compliance:
- Develop and implement process safety management programs to ensure safe and compliant operations.
- Conduct hazard analyses and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed engineering documents, including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including design changes, test results, and performance data.
- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project status and performance.
Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in process engineering.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in process engineering within the oil and gas, power generation, or manufacturing industries.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS or equivalent.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.
- Leadership Abilities: Proven leadership and project management skills. Ability to guide and mentor junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to make data-driven decisions and develop effective solutions.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in process engineering.
- Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent is required. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the oil and gas, power generation, or manufacturing industries.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MATLAB.
- Process Improvement: Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Track Record: Demonstrated success in designing and optimizing complex process systems.
