Bona Route Transport LLC is a car hauling company operating in 48 states of the USA. We have a fleet of 6 hotshot trucks (RAM 3500s), each with a trailer that can haul 3 to 5 cars.
About the role:
The Manager role is designed to be remote, and not necessarily based out of the USA. See the detailed job description below. The Manager will be complemented by an expert mechanic that is based in the USA. The expert mechanic will be primarily responsible for conducting regular equipment checks, providing on-the-road driver support and driver training.
Job Description:
The General manager is required to play a central coordinating role between the dispatch, the drivers and customers, ensuring a smooth communication and safe delivery of vehicles, on-time, and addressing issues as they arise leveraging communication channels (like WhatsApp or Telegram).
Additionally the manager oversees and reports on the operational and financial performance of Bona Route Transport, including managing end-to-end operations, maintenance, compliance, vendor/customer relationships, and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Additionally, they ensure adherence to safety regulations and maintain thorough documentation of company procedures.
1. Operational Management
- Manage operations end-to-end, using the chosen Truck Management System
- Coordinate and evaluate dispatchers’ operations and performance
- Coordinate and evaluate drivers’ operations and performance
- Create maintenance schedule according to manufacturer preventive schedule
- Coordinate maintenance execution
- Monitor vehicle performance and utilization
- Enforce adherence to safety regulations and company policies
- Develop and manage emergency protocols, together with the mechanic on the ground
- Coordinate response to breakdowns, accidents and incidents, together with the mechanic on the ground
2. Financial and Performance Management
- Responsible for the P&L of Bona Route Transport
- Manage all operational and financial daily and weekly controls
- Report operational and financial performance to owners of the business
- Conduct weekly drivers and dispatchers’ settlement
- Manage weekly / monthly budget
- Implement strategies to reduce fuel consumption and other operating costs
- Analyze performance metrics and implement improvements
3. Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure company operations are compliant with local, state, and federal laws
- Create, manage, and keep good records of all company’s manuals and procedures
4. Vendor and Customer Relationship Management
- Establish relationship with a network of vendors (mechanics, brokers, dispatchers, drivers, parking, etc.)
- Implement and execute marketing and CRM strategy
Requirements:
1. Excellent communication skills.
2. Must be fluent in English; additionally, fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is preferred
3. Must have at least 2 years of experience in managing logistics/transport operation
4. Must be flexible with work hours since the drivers are on the road during at all times of day/night in the USA
5. Attentive to details
6. Proficient in Microsoft Excel
7. Is curious, proactive, driving profitability of the business
8. Strong at building relationships with drivers, dispatch, and customers
Training & Onboarding:
· Bona Route Management will provide sufficient onboarding and training along with templates and tools to help the GM with operations and tracking.
Pay:
Attractive pay based on the performance of the business, including commission and bonus/incentives.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $2,000.00 per month
