Highland Health & Rehabilitation of Cascadia is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals and make a positive impact in Bellingham, Washington!
Job Overview
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide basic nursing care and assist residents with daily living activities under supervision.
Essential Functions
- Respond to nurse call systems to determine resident needs.
- Assist residents with dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, and incontinence care.
- Obtain food trays and help residents with eating.
- Aid residents with range of motion exercises and movement to/from wheelchairs or activity areas.
- Assist residents with turning and positioning in bed.
- Help residents with ambulation as needed in the facility.
- Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, and food and fluid intake/output as directed.
- Document activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, and device use on flow sheets or task sheets as directed.
- Attend interdisciplinary meetings as needed to provide input on residents' care plans.
- Document restorative services provided following facility policies and procedures.
- Support facility staff in providing person-centered care based on residents' preferences.
- Ensure punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
Other Functions
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Conduct responsibilities in accordance with company policies, applicable federal and state laws, and professional standards.

Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licenses/Certification
- Valid CNA certification in the state of employment.
- Valid CPR certificate preferred.
Experience
- Six months of experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
Note: All Cascadia Healthcare employees must complete and pass a background check as per each state’s specific requirements before having contact with patients/residents.
Salary Description
- $22 - $28 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
