Position Overview:
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations as directed by management. Additional responsibilities include coaching employees and providing work assignments to operation support roles. The Warehouse Lead must be a self-starter and a role model for employees.
Position Responsibilities
Proficient in all Senior Forklift Operator and other Operational Support job responsibilities
Primary responsibility is to provide daily assignment to Warehouse Associates, Forklift Operators and operations support
Coach and provide on-the-job training to forklift operators and other warehouse employees
Conduct audits of policies/procedures in warehouse/trailers
Assist with scheduling and planning tasks/assignments for all warehouse staff
Contribute to process improvement
Ability to operate and lead a shift(s) as needed
Coordinate and collaborate with Warehouse Trainer to certify employee skill sets
Assist in conflict and resolution; fosters a positive employee relations climate
Qualifications and Requirements
Satisfies all Senior Forklift Operator job qualifications
At least three years of related work experience
Exemplifies operational excellence in all Forklift Operator responsibilities and functions
Extensive knowledge of CJ Logistics warehouse practices, policies, and procedures
Ability to teach and coach operational procedures to new hires and current employees
Strong interpersonal communication skills required
Ability to delegate and hand out work assignments
