Position Overview:
The HIV Program Coordinator support the coordination of clinical and non-clinical daily operations of the HIV Prevention Program. The position supports the Department of State Health Services HIV Grant deliverables, reporting, mobile testing activities, and clinic services. The HIV Program Coordinator will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders identifying service gaps and best practices. This role provides programmatic updates as necessary and ensure compliance with Harris County Public Health policies and procedures by supporting the HIV Prevention Program Manager and Community Health and Wellness Division Leadership.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supports the program oversight and direction regarding assessment, planning, and implementation of the HIV Prevention Program clinical and non-clinical operations.
Assess the progress of the program's grant objectives, notifying program and divisional leadership of progress towards achieving those goals regularly.
Collaborates with internal departments to ensure implementation of social media post, graphic design, marketing, and outreach strategies are compliant with program deliverables and grant objectives.
Works directly with the Program Manager, CHWD Leadership, Purchasing, and Finance for budget management, requisitions, Commissioners Court request, and completes programmatic budget reports by tracking all programmatic financial.
Works closely with Human Resources and Divisional leadership to assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training,and coordinating staff schedules including temporary personnel and volunteers.
Coordinate special program projects such as outreach events, wellness fairs, community programs.
Completes inventory, orders supplies, medication, and vaccines to ensure adequate resources are available for the HIV Prevention Program.
Assist in preparing various statistical reports, bi-annual, and annual reports related to clinical and non-clinical grant operations.
Ensure staff training and documentation are filed appropriately.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in a Health related or Business-related field
Experience:-
One (1) year experience working with an Electronic Medical Record System

One (1) year experience performing administrative office duties in a health care setting
Licensure:-
Must have a valid Driver’s License (TX upon hire)
