High View CNA and CNA Med-Tech Weekend Warrior Opportunity
Wage Scale starting at base rate of $19.80 with potential for higher rate based on years of experience.
High View Manor makes available an every weekend scheduling option to CNAs and CMA’s both part-time and full-time newly hired in the Nursing department on a limited basis. Employees must make a commitment to enroll in the program for twenty-six (26) consecutive weekends (six months). During this period, the employee will be scheduled to work a minimum of (2) 8 Hour shifts one Saturday and one Sunday per weekend. Employee is eligible to request 2 shifts off during the contract period of 6 months.
For the purpose of defining this program, the “weekend” begins on Saturday 6:00 am and ends on Monday at 6:00 AM

- A premium differential of $3.00 per hour will be paid for hours actually worked within the defined weekend time. This premium is in addition to any and all weekend differentials.

A Certified Nursing Assistant’s and or Certified Medical Technician Job Responsibilities:
- Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary and ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
- Assistance with showering/bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs.
- Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients’ call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor.
- Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping patient information confidential.
- Serves and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures; federal, state, and local requirements.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations, and maintaining licensure.
- Enhances nursing department and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- If certified medical technician you will participate in the administration of medications required during the shift worked
CNA & CNA Med-Tech Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Knowledge of relevant nursing care
- Friendly and professional bedside manner
- Maintains current CPR certification
- Multi-tasking skills
- Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills
- Understands legal implications of patient care
- Certified in the role of a medication technician and on the C

CNA or CNA Med-Tech Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED
- Must be a graduate of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program and on the Maine CNA Registry.
- For CMA Must be a graduate of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program and a graduate of a Certified Medication Technician state-approved program and are on the Maine CNA Registry.
- Able to work scheduled shifts, committing to being there for your team and Residents.
- Must be able interact our computer-based Electronic Medical Record system.
