This position is for a very energetic person who enjoys children and helping the lead teacher(s).
Some expectations include:
Be available to work 12:30-4:30 M-F (additional hours will be offered to substitute)
Stepping in to help with classroom management
Executing activities and working one-on-one with students using the lead teacher guidance and lessons
Assisting children with physical and emotional needs
Cleaning the classroom each day after school including vacuuming, sanitizing toys and bathroom disinfecting
Being a positive role model
Communicating positively to parents
Qualifications
-High School Graduate preferably with at least some Early Childhood/Education College Courses
- Previous experience working with young children in a preschool setting preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to engage preschoolers in activities and provided lessons
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment
-An ability to be flexible and the willingness to learn new things
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
