Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coach company day-to-day objectives and performance of team members, while enforcing all of United Salad’s best practices, safety procedures, and ensuring employees are reaching our company goal of 100 cases per hour with an error rate of 1.5 or less.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Instill sense of urgency with team members.
- Lead by example; provide clear direction and enforcement of our policies.
- Audit employee paperwork and spot-check physical receiving compliance.
- Supervise all physical movement of stock correctly.
- Maintain steady and timely inventory of product to eliminate shorts.
- Inspect outbound shipments to ensure accuracy, quality and completeness.
- Ensuring proper recording of warehouse temperature controls and storage trailers.
- Facilitate and motivate team through engaging start-up meetings at the start-up of each shift.
- Maintain storage areas by organizing floor space, adhering to storage design principles, and recommending improvements.
- Ensure timely reporting and documentation for work related injuries and near misses.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Must have 2-3 years of prior supervisory experience.
- Effective communication - Ask questions, get answers. Get to know your team(management and floor).
- Critical Thinking - Not afraid to make a decision and own it. Learn from these experiences and improve on them.
- Adaptability - Understanding things change all the time and embraces that change and is able to motivate the team to move forward with you.
