A Day in the Life:
As an Industrial Electronics Technician at a Paper Mill, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components.
- Providing extensive technical support for instrumentation and electrical control applications.
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical/electronic equipment.
- Installing new electrical equipment and managing inventory and parts.
- Supporting other maintenance activities, including mechanical tasks.
- Testing, calibrating, and repairing pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic measuring and control instruments/equipment.
Required Experience:
- Education: Associate degree or higher in Electrical Systems, Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, Electronics, Electro-mechanical, Electrical System Maintenance, Manufacturing Technology, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Automation, or related degree or military experience.
- Experience: At least two years of electrical/electronic and/or instrument & control troubleshooting in an industrial environment.
- Skills: Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and knowledge of various sensors, controllers, instrumentation, transmitters, automated valves, calibrations, industrial communications, robotics, motion control, and AC/DC control power.
- QCS Experience: Preferred experience with equipment (Honeywell, ABB, Mahlo, Valmet, Thermofisher, etc.) or equivalent military experience.
