Director of Communications
Job Summary:
Join our team as a Director of Communications and lead our organization's strategic communication efforts. As the Director of Communications, you will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies to enhance our brand visibility, engage stakeholders, and drive organizational goals forward.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans that align with the organization's objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of internal and external communications, including press releases, social media management, and media relations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels.
- Lead the creation of compelling content for various platforms, ensuring it resonates with target audiences.
- Manage relationships with media outlets, journalists, and key stakeholders to maximize coverage and positive exposure.
- Conduct regular market research to stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities.
- Provide guidance on crisis communication strategies and act as a spokesperson when necessary.
- Oversee the proofreading and editing of all communication materials to maintain brand voice and style.
- Coordinate public speaking engagements and represent the organization at events as needed.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in a similar role with expertise in social media management, press releases, journalism, and media relations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear and engaging messages.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor team members and drive results.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in public speaking and engaging with diverse audiences is preferred.

Pay: $145,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
