Procedure Title: Sanitation Supervisor 3rd shift
Reports to: Sanitation Manager and Food safety and Quality Manager
SUMMARY: Directs the sanitation team to ensure completion of regular housekeeping and sanitation of the facility. Works with Production Floor Manager to coordinate sanitation of assembly lines and prep rooms. Works with QA/QC to ensure GMP are followed. The Sanitation Supervisor is a key component to the success of Factor's Food Safety, Sanitation and Hygiene program. Through support and management of the sanitation team, the Sanitation Supervisor is essential in ensuring critical procedures are executed accurately to maintain a food safe production environment. Ensures that the bathrooms, lunchrooms, hallways and offices are kept clean and sanitized as required. Supervises the work in the dishwashing room, the chemical room and facility. Monitors sanitation workers to ensure compliance with quality, health and safety standards. Assists and backs-up sanitation workers when required. Trains new workers on sanitation procedures. Provides input regarding the hiring and firing of workers, evaluates performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise employees involved in the sanitation cleaning procedures.
- Follows the plan and assigns work of reporting associates and lead/s. Daily cleaning, MSS, Dishwashing and corrective action cleanings.
- Adhere equipment inspection to meet sanitation control standards, make suggestions regarding procedures, standards, and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product safety.
- Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices.
- Responsible for compilation and maintenance daily records, MSS and corrective action cleaning records.
- Provide all employees with necessary tools, PPE, proper training, and corrective direction.
- Work with production, warehouse, and quality to ensure food safety of product and plant.
- Maintain discipline, morale, and harmonious relations among subordinates.
- Investigate and adjust personnel problems within the area of responsibility.
- Effectively recommend hiring, promotions, wage adjustments and terminations.
- Report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Report and create work order request for any deficiency on infrastructure or equipment
- Ensures that regular housekeeping activities are competed in all areas of facility
- Ensures sanitation of the food preparation and food assembly rooms.
- Leads and directs the sanitation workers to achieve sanitation goals
- Backs up sanitation workers and operates equipment when required
- Ensures compliance with safety, sanitation and quality standards
- Trains workers on sanitation equipment and procedures and chemicals
- Backs up workers in case of call offs and/or vacations
- Reviews Daily documentation
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Provides coverage for Sanitation Manager

Requirements
- Preferred sanitation experience supervisor
- Associates degree or equivalent work-related experience
- Ability to stand 8-10 hours per day.
- Strong analytical and problem solving and communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills requirement – Microsoft office.
- Preferred food safety certifications SQF, BRC, HACCP is a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
