POSITION SUMMARY:
We are in search of an experienced Social Media Manager to strategize, develop, and oversee our brand which includes the platform and website. This pivotal role demands a highly collaborative approach, working in synergy with our Marketing, Influencer, and Development teams to launch captivating and innovative social campaigns. The role involves everything from creating original content to community management, making it a crucial component of our overall Marketing plan. You will be at the heart of creating exciting, engaging and shareable social campaigns that increase brand awareness and reach. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of technology and make a meaningful impact on the lives of youth around the world.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the Social Media Marketing Dept.
- The ideal candidate will be a seasoned social media expert, well-versed in the latest trends and analytics platforms, and a proactive, independent initiator.
- Develop and implement comprehensive the social media strategy, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and audience target. Brainstorm new, unique ideas and direction for social content and marketing campaigns.
- Conceive, develop, produce and edit engaging content that resonates with our users, staying ahead of trends and features to ensure relevancy. Able to create content individually, source and brief other creators for content, and partner with the Marketing Dept. and Influencer Marketing Dept. teams.
- Oversee day-to-day management of all channels including content scheduling, monitoring and engagement.
- Provide regular reports on performance across social platforms and campaigns, building out insights and learnings to be shared across the organization. Develop a framework for measurement that allows for diagnostic metrics and working towards higher level KPIs.
Qualifications –
- 5+ years of experience successfully managing social media for an established brand or at a social-first agency
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design, business or related
· Stays current with social platform tech and trend developments and standard methodologies to push innovative concepts and test/learn campaigns
· Deep social media expertise in establishing channel best practices
· Analytics specialist; you make data-driven decisions and continually look for ways to optimize strategy and tactics
· Proactive leader and responsive planner; confidently lead projects end-to-end, managing stakeholders, achieving clarity and continuing progressing forward to meet the speed of business
- Understanding of paid media principles and content strategy nuances to support paid social campaigns
- Proficient with G Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides), Office 360 (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Monday.com (or similar project management tool such as Asana), HubSpot, and Slack
- Experience working cross functionally across teams in a fast-moving environment
- Content creation experience such as video creation and editing, photo editing, etc. for use on social
- Proven knowledge of third party social media platforms such as Sprout Social, Planoly, Later, etc.
- Friendly, fun, and collaborative addition to the team to motivate, encourage and support in all we accomplish together
- A real passion for all things social media and Internet culture. You have a finger on the pulse of Gen Z/Millennial youth culture, emerging digital platforms, and the creator/Influencer/celebrity landscape. So, naturally, you know your way around TikTok, Instagram, Discord, Twitch – to name a few
EDUCATION REQUIRED –
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design, business or related
