Responsibilities:
TEACH-LA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bookkeeper to join the team The role is responsible for overseeing data recording and billing aspect of the program.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments
- Data recording and billing
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
Requirements:
Requirements:
- AA Degree preferred
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role 3 years' experience +
- Solid understanding of financial concepts, including debits, credits, and GAAP
- Knowledge of tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation
- Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or similar programs
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Previous experience in public accounting or technical accounting is a plus
