Job Title: Accounting Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone looking to start or grow their career in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fundamental accounting tasks.
Accounts Payable:
- Process invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain relationships with vendors regarding payment inquiries.
Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and send invoices to customers promptly.
- Follow up on overdue payments and resolve any billing issues.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy.
General Accounting:
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- **Communication and Support:
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- Provide support to auditors during financial audits.
Requirements:
Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience (internship or entry-level) in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting.
