SUMMARY
This will be a hands-on laboratory role that will involve independent execution of biological techniques including but not limited to mammalian cell culture (BSL1 & 2), tissue handling, microscopy (e.g. fluorescence, phase contrast, brightfield, SEM), biochemical assays (e.g. Elisa, DNA, total protein), and mechanical testing (e.g. Zwick, Instron). In addition to executing biological techniques, the candidate will help write SOPs, summarize/organize their data, and contribute to method development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experience with some or all the following methods/skills/keywords is highly preferred:
- Cell culture
- Microscopy (e.g. fluorescence, phase contrast, brightfield, SEM)
- Biochemical Assays (e.g. Elisa, DNA, total protein)
- Tissue processing
- Immunohistochemistry
- Microplate reader
- Tack Test
- Tissue Engineering
- Regenerative Medicine
- Urology
- Diabetes
- Tissue handling
- Mechanical testing (e.g. Zwick, Instron)
- Collect, organize, and analyze data independently.
- Troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Operate with high safety standards using required PPE such as gloves, closed-toed shoes, and safety goggles.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a biology laboratory.
