The Content Specialist will assist in writing, publishing and managing content across all Champro’s owned and external channels. This individual will play an important role on the marketing team to ensure the accuracy, clarity and consistency of all of Champro’s product content. Our ideal candidate has some experience in product content writing and editing, as well as the ability to support the marketing department in its overall content strategy initiatives. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a keen attention to detail, ability to multitask, and the motivation to learn and grow with the role.
Plays an active role in Champro’s website refresh, which will include a review of website architecture and user experience, to ensure that structure and content align with the Champro brand and customer experience goals
Proficient in writing short- and long-form content including web and email copy, as well as bylines, blog posts, case studies, product descriptions and more
Ensures content is optimized for search
Participates in meetings and offers topic ideas, strategic recommendations and best practices about the use of content to support Champro’s business initiatives
Supports social media initiatives and drives social media presence by crafting compelling posts, managing all accounts and regularly tracking growth through analytics
Multitasks and uses resources to complete tasks within a deadline-oriented environment
Has a strategic mindset that works cross functionally with design, product management and marketing
Collaborates with the marketing team to implement email marketing campaigns that drive engagement with our target audience
Assists in monitoring analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
Works closely with other departments and stakeholders to understand project objectives and deliver content that supports those goals
Ensures that all copy adheres to established editorial guidelines and maintains consistency across different platforms
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or a related field
5+ years of experience in content development, with a portfolio of writing samples
Strong command of MS Office, Google Suite
Working knowledge of AP Style writing guidelines
SEO experience a plus
Google Analytics experience a plus
MailChimp experience a plus
