Purpose of the role:
The role of a senior accountant is to manage the company's accounting activity and team in providing high-quality support and expertise, including all general ledger, consolidation, technical accounting, tax, accounts payable, order to cash, and revenue recognition activities.
She/he is responsible for financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring accurate financial records throughout the year.
Responsibilities:
· Managing general and analytical accounting activities for the company;
· Managing all accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP and company policies;
· Reconciliation of: fixed assets and amortizations and follow up; bank statements;
· Managing accounts payables and receivables;
· Monitoring of expense claims;
· Bookkeeping up to balance sheets and profit/loss statements (Tax returns are managed by certified accountants);
· Handling monthly/quarterly/bi-annual/annual closings activities in cooperation with HQ Finance team, certified accountants and statutory auditors;
· Auditing financial transactions and documents;
· Participation in preparing budget forecasts;
· Ensuring compliance in developing, maintaining, and documenting accounting policies, internal controls and systems in accordance with GAAP;
· Being the first point of contact for certified accountants and statutory auditors;
· Supporting the continued improvement efforts for the ERP and other financial applications to drive scalability and reliability in our finance and accounting operations;
· Participating in the continuous improvement of the department's activities;
· Contributing to internal and external customer satisfaction;
· Supporting the team in a member’s absence.
Skills:
· Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
· Experience with general ledger functions
· Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
· Thoroughness, precision and organization
· Ability to communicate internally and externally, taking account of confidentiality
· Hands-on experience with accounting software (such as SAGE or SAP is a plus).
Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables, plus more.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
